Magnus Hieronymus, new Postdoc at MISU
Magnus Hieronymus, new postdoc at MISU

Magnus Hieronymus finalized his PhD studies at MISU in 2014 and has now returned for a postdoc, working with Jonas Nycander.

– My research revolves around quantifying ocean heat uptake and transport in general circulation models. I will study the influence of key parts of the ocean general circulation, such as the overturning circulation, on heat transport. And also how these circulatory features and their related heat transports depend on for example ocean mixing and wind stress, says Magnus Hieronymus.

Most recently, Magnus has been working with sea level issues at SMHI. Before that he did a postdoc on double diffusion at Helmholtz Zentrum Geesthacht.
